Art Schad, a Red Hook NY native was a NY State High School Wrestling place-winner and National Freestyle place winner. Art went on to wrestle collegiately at Southern Connecticut State University. Art has an extensive background in Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling. Art is the former head coach of the Norwalk Madbull Youth Wrestling Program and Norwalk High School Wrestling. During his 12 years as the Coach of the Norwalk Mad Bulls the club took home 7 state club titles and 2 New England Youth Club Championships.

Mission

The ultimate goal of the program is to advance the athletic and personal development of area youth by increasing the accessibility of the sport of youth wrestling. This not-for-profit brings the wrestling communities of lower Fairfield County top-tier coaching and facilities for the purpose of attracting an attaining area youth to the sport of wrestling.

Philosophy

We believe that wrestling instills the values of commitment, discipline, sportsmanship, and good overall physical fitness. Our club gives the kids a safe, sanctioned place to exercise, socialize and develop these skills, which will be useful throughout their lives.
